It is designed with an external strobe in mind: two sockets allow direct connection of the fiber-optic cables of the Sea&Sea YS-25 and YS-90 series (so without the usual velcro). There is also a versatile internal flash diffuser that with the push of a lever slips into place to soften the camera's internal flash, or moves out of the way for strong, clear lighting. The 5000G (actually a Ricoh Caplio GX) is a 5.13 megapixel (2592 x 1944 px) digital camera with a 28 - 85 mm lens (3x zoom).
