Samsung SPH-i700 SmartphoneWith the new Samsung i700, Verizon Wireless finally offers a Pocket PC-based smart phone worthy of the company's high-speed 1xRTT voice and data network. Its size, shape, and high-end features make it something of a thoroughbred, especially compared to other Pocket PCs.

Great combination of Computer and Phone

Pros: Large display, Camera, Sync Outlook, Word, Excel, play AVIs, MP3s, MPGs, Internet, Download Apps.
Cons: Slow Internet access unless you upgrade service.
I've had this PDA/Phone for 4 years and still love it. It's large for a phone but that's so you can see the display when you're surfing the net or using one of the thousands of applications available for it. The Internet speed is slow (14.4K) unless you get the upgraded service that is around 128K. Of course it has to be rebooted every once in awhile, it's Windows after all. The speech recognition software works well if you can duplicate the environment that it learns your voice in... program it in the house, can't use it in the car. Handwriting recognition works if you write legibly otherwise forget it. There is a newer version available with a qwerty thumboard but the screen is too small. If you turn off the PDA you don't have accidental phone calls when you bump the screen and the phone still works perfectly.
