Pros: great picture quality, easy to hook up, good sound, plays mp3.s and jpeg.s
Cons: poor remote, menu options a little hard to use
Was looking for true digital capability to go with my JVC HDTV ready tv. This was the only player on the market that offered a DVI connection at a reasonable price. The player works fine at any of the three available resolutions with my TV, and the picture is the best I've ever seen. Sound is good also, using an optical cable and the bitstream setting available on the player. In agreement with other reviewers, I have to say the remote is poor, but I have a master remote that handles the tasks I need. This is a good basic DVD player that would sell for about $100 if it didn't have the digital capability, but I feel the improved picture quality is worth the extra 100 bucks it cost.
