Pros: Shreds nicely. Quick, good for home office use.

I would recommend this shredder for someone who shreds a small amount of mail or documents. It is not meant for office use. I am very pleased with the unit.
I received this paper shredder as a gift for Christmas, 2005, so I have used it for nearly a year now.
Overall, I am very happy with this shredder. Prior to receiving the shredder, I never bothered to shred my personal documents and/or mail. However, with the growing concern of identity theft, I realized this was a terrefic gift.
I have found that the shredder is very powerful. The booklet suggests it can shred up to 6 pages at a time, however, I have found that it can do 8 pages at once. The shredder also has a "reverse" button, so in the event that there is a jam, you can reverse the paper intake and retry. I suppose you could "reverse" something that isn't meant to be shredded, but obviously you would only get back the unshredded portion.
The shredder has a bright green LED light, which illuminates when the power is on. I have found this useful in that I often leave the shredder on and forget about it. There is a small window which allows you to check the volume of the shredded paper, however, this is virtually useless as it sits near the top of the shredder, and it literally only 1 1/2 inches wide.
This machine does a fine job of shredding paper(s) into tiny bits. The cross-shred is a nice feature as well.
My complaints: The machine is loud. While it does shred paper quickly, it's definitely noisy. I have found it difficult to shred paper while on the phone. I have also found that you can continue to shred paper once the basket is full. The shredded paper continues to pile up into the "blades" and may cause a multitude of jams.
Perhaps my biggest complaint is the removable basket. As I mentioned, I have had this unit for nearly a year now, and every time I empty the basket, tiny shreds of paper end up on my floor. While the basket easily slides into and out of place, I have found that the paper shreds tend to get stuck in the blades and spill over. This makes for a real pain to clean up.
