BlackBerry Storm2 9550 is the second generation BlackBerry with a touch-sensitive screen, successor of the highly-anticipated Storm. The keys on the front are now touch-sensitive as well, and the screen no longer uses the SurePress technology, which made the display of the first Storm uncomfortable to use. The Storm2 also adds Wi-Fi, but the other features are similar and include a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS and a full HTML browser.

Close to an iPhone killer. I'm blown away.
| Author's Rating: |

Pros: Touch screen software, 3G speed, Small learning curse, huge coverage with Verizon
Cons: Browsing not as nice as iPhone, fingerprint magnet, tiny bit clunky in spots
Bottom Line:
The professionalism of a Blackberry with functionality of the iPhone. Certain to be improved even more in future models, but the Storm2 is a huge leap ahead of original Storm.

Cons: Display is a little small; no separate phone send and end buttons.
Bottom Line:
The BlackBerry Storm 9550 may take some getting used to, but as a business messaging platform it excels like no other, including Windows Mobile and iPhone handhelds.

STILL NOT THE PERFECT STORM
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: Massive improvements to screen and software since version 4.7
Cons: Screen technology, software and browser aren't as welcoming as competitors.
Bottom Line: STORM 2 fixes numerous problems encountered in the original but, as a PDA it still falls short of the bar being raised daily by ANDROID, iPHONE and WEB OS.
Better than I expected
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: Nice screen, click-feel when typing, TETHERING, superior handling of email and calendar compared to iPhone
Cons: Nowhere near as many applications as iPhone, substandard web-browser
Bottom Line:
iPhone is better for most folks, but if you need tethering and BlackBerry email, its a very good option.

The Blackberry Storm 2 is a Natural Disaster
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: The Storm2 has a larger screen for viewing internet pages and photos with more detail.
Cons: Alot of functional problems with the phone that creates more frustration than a phone should.
Bottom Line:
While I would recommend getting a Blackberry I would not recommend the Storm 2, it is such a hassle and I will never try the touch screen again.
