Author's Review
For those of us without high end computers our day of rejoicing has come. Not only do we get a port of a great game, the port is flawless. Not only do they stay faithful to the game, they even make some moves that were necessary for the home console.
First things that come to mind when you see this game in action. Graphics and speed. The graphics are crystal clear and the game continually runs at a smooth frame rate. With this kind of speed the action is intense. After starting the game you are immediately sucked into the Quake world and become frag hungry. Do yourself a favor and get four controllers, four friends and have at it. The soundtrack to the game is also rockin and pumps you up.
The default control scheme is horrible. Luckily they have a "goldeneye" setting in the game. It came in very handy for me and my fellow snipers. Also seriously think about getting a keyboard and mouse. Very necessary for talking trash and accuracy.
As you can tell, this game is an overwhelming success. And I haven't even scratched the surface of online play. One word about online play: awesome. You owe it to yourself to get this game and get in on the online console world. Look out gaming world. Sega right in the middle of its onslaught of must have games.
