give Them hell

Pros: A great party game

Cons: the controls are not on the optimum level

Author's Review
Wow, this game belongs on your wish list because is provides so much fun. When I first bought this game, I was quite skeptical about how well it will do compared to my wide library of DC games, but little did I know, that it would take over hours of my free time. Pretty soon, all of my friends had this game, and if we weren't playing each other over the phone lines (which is a great part of this game), we were camping in each other's houses and smashing each other in this game.

I have played quake 3 on the computer with a very good computer and I was amazed by its beauty. But now that quake has been converted to a console, I didn't expect it to reproduce the asthetic value that it once had on the PC. ButI was wronged again. The dreamcast holds its own and provide brilliant colors and animation. It seems to be near par of a PC, and that's a lot to ask. The characters are well defined also, as you can notice every mucle group, down to the buttimus maximus.

Another question that springs up is the control factor. A lot of people say that you can't play a first person shooter on a console with controls, but they are again wrong. The control is fine. Sure, it's not as accurate and easy as the mouse and keyboard but it's still fun. But for all hardcore people who want the keyboard and mouse, they can still go and buy it, with a little more money though (usually $45 for the two peripherals).

But let's face, a game doesn't matter unless it's fun, and this game delivers it to the very last ounce. Bring your friends, bring your smack, and bring your A game because it's the best part of the game. You will be thrusted into an all-out-free-for-all-battle, where the winner gets the bragging rights.

I think this game is well worth the purchase, so give it a shot. It might suprise you.
