Pros: Awesome graphics and gameplay, Dreamcast controler works well, 4 player online
Cons: Doesn't save nickname and skin. Have to reenter player info every time you play, bots are not fun to play against
Allright Dreamcast fans, through away that copy of Chu-Chu rocket and start fragging. With all the PC levels, plus bonus ones not even out for the PC yet, Q3 is a great buy. Don't bother getting a keyboard and mouse. It's good sometimes, but the controller is great. All the commands are at your fingertips. A keyboard, maybe. For chatting. But in Quake 3, the action is so fast and intense you don't have time to type a letter. There is no lag. With servers all over the world Sega had some great ideas. Don't want to go online? That's ok. Just a slight cut from the weapons detail and you have a 4 player game. Four modes like online play of course. Deathmatch, Tournament, Team Deathmatch and my favorite, Capture the Flag. There's also multiplayer with bots and a single player campaign. Because there is mainly fighting, it's like the campaign in Turok: Rage wars. As great as this game is, if you don't have 4 players or internet access, it's not very fun. The bots are dumb, don't sware at you, and easy to kill. What makes this game different and fun? Playing against the toughest opponent ever in a game. The human mind.
