Good beginner camera for the price

Pros: Great build quality, good pictures, priced right, and easy to use.
Cons: A tad bulky, and digital zoom makes pictures look rough.
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this camera to those who are looking for their first digital camera that want an easy-to-use product. Great for teenagers/college students. An overall good value.
I have owned this camera for about one and a half years now. It is my first digital camera, and have had no problems with it. The optical zoom is adequate for most applications, and the pictures turn out quite well. However, the digital zoom is not as good of quality as some other cameras, yet it works fine for most instances. This camera provides a nice array of options as far as shooting settings go, and there are plenty of settings you can change and fiddle with to get your pictures looking good. The "auto" setting will work perfect with most applications, yet the ability to fine tune the settings will be beneficial to those more advanced users. The overall build quality is very good; as I have dropped it several times, but still works flawlessly. The interface is fairly simple, and adjusting the setting is a breeze. The camera comes with many preset settings, which can be adjusted by the click of a knob. It also features a built in video camera, so you can shoot some video if you'd like. The video is low-quality, but it can be useful at times. Changing out memory cards, batteries, and uploading photos to a computer are easy to figure out for those who have little technical experience. This camera is not for professionals, and is a bit to bulky to fit in a pocket, but doesn't take up too much room in a women's purse if she wanted to carry it around with her all the time. It's battery life is average, but I would recommend getting some rechargeable batteries, as this will save you in the long run. Generally, this camera has plenty of features that are not the best, but serve their purpose and will work for most average consumers. For the price, this camera turns out some very good pictures and will suit the needs of most looking for a digital camera without breaking the bank.
