Pros: TODDLER STEP! Beautiful fabric, steering, looks.
Cons: Still the same skimpy basket, adult cup holder.
The Bottom Line:
Save your $ on the cheapos, this is worth every penny! The toddler step will extend its use for years.
I just bought the Peg Perego P3 classico (2004) recently because I used to have a Pliko, that I loved, and thought this would be similar. Well....it is 10 times better. I have two toddlers 16 months apart, and after trial and error of many different strollers/doubles, I have accepted that my now 2 1/2 y.o. will not ride in a stroller. This poses a problem since she is still young, and I have a hard time managing her walking, and a stroller with my 14 month old, when we are out. My solution has been to just go out without them, Ha Ha, but there are times when I need to bring them. As I said, I used to have a pliko, and I remembered that it had a step on the back for an older sibling to stand on. I figured this might be a good compromise to having her walk. I ordered the P3, which is the updated pliko, and I must say it is beautiful! The pushing/steering is much better, even one handed, and they've made the fold a bit better, too. I got the diamante fabric, which is a really nice navy with a white check-like diamond pattern.
My little one is very comfy, and the five point harness comes off the back of the seat so they are not "tethered" to the seat, and they have a little movement. It also now comes with a really nice snack tray/cup holder for the child.
The two year old enjoys riding on back when I need her close, i.e. crossing streets, crowded places, etc. She still mostly wants to walk, but now I can steer one handed and manage her better while out.
I do notice that Peg Perego hasn't made their basket much better, it's pretty flimsy and will drag if too much is put in it. Also the adult cup holder is still very small.
All in all, I love this stroller and I wish I bought it when the baby was born and skipped the doubles. I would've put the baby in a carrier and let the toddler ride. It would've saved me a lot of aggravation and $$$$.
