Author's Review
My husband "accidently" gave away our single stroller when we had our daughter, thinking we we would only ever use the double stroller since she was our second child. We did, however, have a single jogging stroller which is completely impractical for any indoor use.

I began looking into single umbrella type strollers, and had two of the cheap Walmart ones with my son, which I promptly gave away after only a few uses. At 5 foot 2 inches tall, those cheap strollers were uncomfortable for me to push due to the short handles...I can't imagine what it's like for any one taller than me!

My husband was dead set about not getting another stroller, because we have the Graco Duoglider, the single jogger, and then got a double jogger after Evie was born. I was tired of having to take the Duoglider to appointments or to the store with only one child in it. I attempted to take the single jogger, but turning and maneuvering that through the halls, isles, and waiting areas proved to be a frustrating endeavor.

He also balked at the cost. Every online site I went to had it in about the $280 range. I found it on clearance at one site for $179, and was dying to order, but he kept saying that we should just get a cheap umbrella stroller. I decided to take him on the hour drive to the nearest Babies R Us to show him the difference in the Pliko P3 and the cheap umbrella or single strollers.

We pulled the Pliko P3 off of the shelf, and I had my husband "test drive" it down the isle. I showed him how the handles could be adjusted to two heights, making this comfortable for short people, such as myself, and taller people as well. It also turned corners great, drove smoothly, and was pretty light weight in my book.

I then had him "test drive" one of the cheap umbrella strollers, and he didn't get half way down the isle when he said, "Okay, I get the point. This sucks," and off we went home to order our Pliko online!

When it arrived, I was so excited. My 2.5 year old "helped" me get it out of the box, and then I set about putting the cup holder, basket, and tray onto the stroller. Looking back with pride, I watched my son get in and out of it, and he absolutely loved it! It also didn't take him long to locate the toddler foot board for him to stand on when both kids are out with me!

Then came the first time out with the stroller: I collapsed the stroller for the first time, and found that it was a two handed job which requires quite a bit of effort, but it does fold compact and stand on it's own as promised. When we got to our destination, I pulled the stroller out of the trunk and it opened effortlessly.

I then buckled our daughter in, and I absolutely love the harness system! It is a 5 point harness system, which I like a lot better than the simple restraint in my Duoglider.

The foot rest has 3 positions, and is easy to use. Just lift up to the desired position and it will lock into place. Push the 2 buttons (one for each side of foot rest) and it easily lowers to the desired position.

The seat reclines into 4 positions, the final position being close to flat, which is perfect for a sleeping child and great for a newborn. You can also use the Peg Perego infant carrier car seat and turn this stroller into a travel system.

The seat has a very nice fabric and is quite well padded. It looks comfortable, and with the way my son was climbed into it and just sitting there, I would have to say he backs up my theory! The upholstery is also easy to remove and machine washable, which should be a must for any stroller in my book!

The canopy is amazing! It is extremely large, and has a peek a boo window in the top. It can be pulled forward to protect the child from the sun or wind, and it fastens to the back and sides of the stroller with snaps.

The storage basket proves to be useless, in my opinion. When we took the stroller out for the first time, I went to place my small diaper bag in it, and found that I couldn't from any angle! The basket itself is of ample size, especially for this being an umbrella type stroller. The problem lies in the set up of the stroller: bars cross over the top of the basket in an "x" configuration, making it impossible to get even the smallest diaper bag into the small openings that are made from the bars. In fact, I can't think of anything that would actually be easy to place into and remove from the basket on this stroller.

The handle bars are wonderful! They easily adjust to two positions by pushing a button on each handle and pulling up or pushing down, making this comfortable to use for short and tall alike. The shorter setting is still quite a bit taller than the handles on a cheap umbrella stroller, which makes pushing this a breeze and comfortable as well!

The cup holder that came with mine could be attached to either the left or the right side. The stroller came with 2 brackets, one for each side, with a groove cut into it for use with it's respective handle bar. You slide the bracket onto the handle, and then push the cup holder onto the bracket. The cup holder is small, but then again most umbrella strollers do not have a drink holder any way.

The child's tray is great, and the cup holder has prongs inside to help stabilize the cup. I find that to be a useful feature, eliminating the wobbly sippy cup syndrome that so often accompanies a driving stroller. On either side, there is a shallow bowl like area that is great to place cheerios and the like for easy access.

My son loves to ride on the foot board while Evie sits in the seat. He eagerly climbs up, and loves to look around from his heightened vantage point. This is a big plus for those of us with toddlers! And because the foot board takes up so little space, the stroller itself is much smaller than the traditional double stroller or the regular sit and stand strollers that are out now. That being said, this is perfect for outings with either one or two children.

*UPDATE* My children are now 3 years and 5 years old. We still use this stroller, although not as often. (Walking is better for your children!) I do still keep this in the car, use it for doctor's appointments, and it made a trip to Puerto Rico in March of this year, where it got a LOT of use! It was a life saver at the airports, as both of my children could ride it, while I pulled my luggage.

This is still my top pick for a single, or two child family!
