Pros: Very fast for burning DVD's and CDs
Cons: I have more failures when burning DVDs than I did with the DVR-107D I replaced.
I'm using this on a Mac with OS X 10.4.1 and get 1 out of 10 failed burns using Toast Titanium 6.0.9. It could be the media I'm using and I'll try a different brand shortly. I'm currently using generic 8x media and burning at 8x speeds.
This drive will be listed in system profiler as " Burn Support: Yes (Unsupported)" This means it will work with iTunes and iDVD but some features will not be supported. Currently Dual Layer is not supported in either program.
