2007 Honda PilotThe Pilot offers all of the traditional Honda traits — reliability, safety and quality —in a mid-size SUV package that seats up to 8 passengers. It is built on a unibody frame, derived from the Odyssey minivan, which means it delivers a car-like ride.

Solid SUV for (almost) everyone

Pros: Good value for the money, Safe vehicle, Roomy
Cons: Missing some minor nice-to-have features like a temperature gauge
The Bottom Line:
A highly recommended SUV for anyone in the market for a midsize SUV - it's safe, reliable and does what it's designed to do.
I've had my 2007 Honda Pilot now for about 5 months and like it more now, than I did when I first drove it off the dealer's lot. For your reference and ease of comparison, I purchased an Aberdeen Green 4WD LX with only 2 options - running boards and backup sensor (both purchased at and installed by Honda).
The interior of the vehicle is nice and roomy. The 2nd and 3rd rows fold down for those times when you need to carry bigger things (like a dishwasher, dining table, full-size Weber grill, IKEA furniture, etc. - we've done all those things!). The dash and front consoles are vinyl and plastic, but not cheap looking. There's plenty of space for knickknacks and CDs in the armrest area (with 2 decent cupholders). The only thing I've found that I wish this SUV had is a temperature gauge - I really miss that (had it in my 2 previous vehicles).
The exterior is a nice metallic green color which hides dirt pretty well! The rear windshield wiper is ok, not the greatest but serviceable. The backup sensor works great since there's a big blind spot with every SUV & truck (I regularly drive an ambulance with a first aid squad so I know all about blind spots and their dangers!). The running boards are ok - nothing spectacular, just the usual.
All in all, a great, safe SUV that's a good value for the $. I see that it's consistently rated highly for safety in various magazine and internet articles.
Bottom line - Would I buy this again and would I recommend it to my friends, family, etc.? DEFINITELY!
