Color went kaput

Pros: Color and sound were good Until......
Cons: Repair network. Customer support could only suggest unpluging it for a while.
Had this TV for 3 years. Worked pretty well, but then all of a sudden the red went out. Tech support was suprised it lasted that long. That should have been a sign. Online I got a few repair reports and I am going to make a home repair. IF it works I will update, otherwise we have a 55 inch paperweight. The remote broke within a year. The sound has alot of programability. The picture gets a bit jumpy in auto screen size mode.
