Providing myriad options, this automatic bread maker embodies the marvels of 21st century electronic convenience and choice. Yes, it mixes, kneads, rises, and bakes bread in three loaf sizes up to 2-1/2 pounds. But its digital controls go much further, offering settings for white, whole wheat, multigrain, and French (crisp crust, open texture) breads, each made according to what's best for that particular style. Other settings permit rapid baking and baking sandwich bread with a soft crust. For raisin (or other dried-fruit) bread, a beeper signals when to add the fruit so it's not crushed during kneading.

Author's ReviewThis isn't my first bread machine but this is by far the best one I have ever owned. First of all, the recipes are great. My family makes pizza on a regular basis and the pizza crust recipe is better than a mix. It has a wonderful texture and will make a large and a small pizza or a large deep dish. We also make the white sandwich bread all the time. It has always turned out light, texture is just right and smells great. I have never had the kneading blade stick in the bread so far. One of the best things is the yeast dispenser. It releases the yeast at the right moment. Also, no more testing the temp. of your water. My old bread machine required me to have the water at a certain temp. If I got it wrong the bread didn't turn out. This machine takes the guess work out of making bread. It does take several hours for basic bread but you just need to plan ahead. Trust me it is worth it. The one thing I do miss is a window to be able to watch the bread mixing, rising and baking. It is so tempting to want to watch. Overall, we are very happy with this bread maker.
ETA -- Basic features I forgot to mention:
Comes with measuring spoon and measuring cup.
The bread programs are:
Basic, whole wheat, multigrain, french, pizza and bake only.
Baking options:
Bake, bake rapid, bake sandwich, bake raisin, dough and dough raisin.
There are size options of XL, L, and M tall loaves. Crust choices are dark and light.
There is a resting period after starting machine. I assume this is to let the water and ingredients get to the perfect temp. This is also why the bread takes a little longer than other machines.
