Pros: 3CCD technology at a consumer price level makes a huge difference
Cons: more expensive then some of its competitors in that market
The Bottom Line:
Panasonic makes 3CCD technology affordable you wont find a competitor in this price range
upgraded from a Sony TRV250 and the upgrade was a huge success in more true color reproduction...if your really into the best possible one time only chance of recording your special moment then pay the extra money and record it once and in the best color reproduction you can...it was truly a outstanding difference when i compared it to my last camcorder...its lighter of course because this uses MiniDV and the TRV250 used Digital8...both digital but the tape format on this is really the new standard...as for all the bells and whistles i am sure you can research all its connections yourself...what i am here for is to tell...you "hey...is the quality that different?"...and yes it is...of course...light outside or in is SO VERY IMPORTANT...a sunny day will bring you gorgeous colors and a gloomy day will..still bring you better then a 1 CCD lens...as for shooting in doors if you really want great video do yourself a favor go buy a less then $100 light attachment for the hotshoe and really take great videos of the whole birthday cake thing or...opening presents..whatever...you know family stuff...lol...but hey like i said only one christmas in 2004 and then whoever your going to record will be that much more older...dont you want to record an image of them looking gorgeous as you remembered...instead of saying in 10 years..."god did i look that bad back then"...hope this helps...
