I exchanged a Sony DCR TRV250 to buy this camera. I wasn't satisfied with the Sony but that's a different review. I like this camera. The features and the manual are just what I need to get the right footage for my family. Short learning curve. Good overall camera for family recording and comfortable to use. Fair performance in low light means that the quality of picture is about as good as a VHS-C when in doors at night without bright light or outdoors at dusk. Colors are better than the Sony but the picture may not be as sharp in low light. Still pictures to the Secure Digital Card (not included) are adequate for web and email (which I will enjoy having). Still picture processing is a little slow. BUT, anyone hoping to print photo quality pictures on photo paper taken by ANY camcorder should keep their 35mm or other digital camera. Realistically, this is a good camera for the money for its size, the color and its features.
