Pros: Great camera for the money.

Cons: EIS detracts from quality of picture.

Author's Review
The DV100 and I became acquainted just a few months ago, with the purpose of creating short skits for my church. I've used it for two complete skits thus far, and also for my own personal amusement. As the bottom end of the Panasonic Digital line, it is a great product. It handles the basics very well, and also has some intriguing features. I thoroughly enjoy playing with the mirror mode, as well as it's ability to take a series of snapshots. The picture is incredible, as with most digital camcorders. The only issue I have with the camera, is with it's EIS (Electronic Image Stabilizer). When activated, it darkens the picture significantly, creating unwanted shadows and other annoyances in what was originally a great shot. This might not be a major factor for a lot of people, but I find that with the current prices of digital camcorders, I would rather spend a bit more and get rid of the EIS problem, as well as get more features.
