Portable DVD players have lots of positives going for them. They're great for viewing DVD Video virtually anywhere and can also be used for listening to CDs. On long road trips, portable DVD players are the best things to help entertain the kids and subdue wild behaviors in cramped spaces. The drawback, until now, has been the limited Battery life during play back. The built-in rechargeable battery of the DVD-LS90 nearly triples it by offering a realistic 6 hours of play time. This opens lots more opportunities to enjoy the Panasonic DVD-LS90.

Pros: Long battery life, excellent picture, lightweight, very portable
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line:
This is the ideal balance of cost, quality, portability, and battery life. For $300, I couldn't have gotten a better deal or a better player. Highly recommended!
I got this DVD player because I do a lot of traveling by airplane and was looking for a lightweight, quality player with a long battery life. This baby runs for 6 hours and weighs less than four pounds, battery and all. That makes it perfect for a long plane ride as you can watch two three hour movies or a ton of 30 minute shows. It's got a nice 9.2 inch screen with excellent picture quality, plus the screen detaches from the support arm so you can position it as is most comfortable for you.
The sound quality is more than decent, but I rarely use it as I'm frequently on airplanes and use my headphones instead. It's got a dual headphone jack so a significant other or friend can listen as well. I use this device with my Bose noise-canceling headphones and the airplane might as well be a movie theater! No sound from the outside, quality Dolby surround sound coming from the headphones, and a great picture.
It seems to be quite durable, but if you have young kids and they will be using this player, I'd go for a cheaper model. It seems like they would destroy this player and then you'd be out $300 bucks. It seems perfectly durable for adult use, however.
I bought this DVD player because of the good reviews it's gotten, and it hasn't disappointed. Coupled with a portable DVD player bag, this device is the perfect traveling companion!
