Good camera worth the money (almost)

Pros: small lightweight easy to use.
Cons: battery & memory location, video artifacts, short battery time
This is the first camcorder I have bought since I first bought my monster shoulder carry VHS camcorder (Panasonic).
totally solid state camcorder. I have not had any problem with this camcorder or its media transfering files to the computer or saving to the bundled DVD writer. I don't like the artifact of the video but that is inherent of the AVCHD codec that this camera uses. Also the bit rate is compromised by all manufacturers so that the consumer can use any SD memory card rather than specifying SDHC class 4 and Class 6 memory only. read about the AVCHD codec at wikipedia.com I am looking at getting the HDC-SD9
