Panasonic ES2045

Best Epilator I've Used!

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: It has more tweezers and a double head so it gets more hairs and quicker

Cons: Epilating is just downright painful...

The Bottom Line:
Does a great job getting even fine hairs, very quick and efficient. Love the fact that it's cordless!

If you are interested in getting an epilator this is an EXCELLENT choice! I used to have a Panasonic Satinelle, and maybe it was just getting old, but after buying this panasonic I noticed such a huge difference! It has more tweezers and a double head so it gets more hairs and quicker. Doesn't seem to be breaking my hairs instead of pulling them out as much as the phillips did. Still does this a bit, but I think it's an inevitable problem, especially if you have fine hairs. It also seems a bit more potent, my phillips lacked some needed juice at times, also seemed to get VERY hot when I would use it for an extended period of time (again, I don't know how the new satinelles are... I bought mine a while ago). AND I love the fact that the Panasonic is cordless. That is very convenient. Since I have just gotten it I am not sure as to how the battery will hold up over time. The package says that it's good for 30 minutes once fully charged, however, that normally decreases with time and could potentially cause a problem considering it takes me about 25 minutes to do my legs and bikini area.

ALSO GREAT for all the bikini area! I like brazilian waxes and this epilator does a great job at getting everything. Far superior to waxing that area by yourself! Waxing is almost impossible because you really need about 7 hands to hold all skin taught and then be able to pull with the speed and force required.

If you like epilators and are in the market, I totally recommend this one.

HOWEVER, I would like to take a moment to recommend something else! I just got Nair Wax Strips which, without a doubt, is the best hair removal product that I have used on my legs. Waxing for me is MUCH better than using an epilator because it's SO MUCH QUICKER, and I think less painful. However getting the tubs of wax which you have to heat and apply gunkily to yourself is SUCH a pain and almost not worth all the work, sweat, tears, and mixed results. BUT, these strips are GREAT because they already have the perfect amount of wax applied on them (i was sooo surprised by how LITTLE it was!) and you heat them by rubbing the strip between your hands a couple of times. You apply and rip off immediately. It is SO CLEAN, SO FAST, and SO EFFECTIVE! I would hands down recommend that over epilating.

HOWEVER, the reason that I use and epilator is for my bikini and underarms. I find waxing those areas to be extremely difficult (as I stated above, the whole lack of need hands, and also hair tends to grow out in different directions in those areas so you end up waxing over the same areas multiple times to get everything and just irritating skin). SO, I use an epilator for those areas and am quite happy with the results!

I also want to make sure that I say that epilating is not for the faint at heart!!! If you don't handle pain well, I would not recommend them at all. The first time I tried I was basically brought to tears and had to take it in several sessions. I think the best way (as mentioned in other reviews that I saw) is to just go somewhere to get waxed first, and then as the hair is starting to grow back in, start epilating. It's always easier once those first, large, firmly rooted hairs have been taken out. Getting someone else to wax you will be quick, and you won't be able to chicken out once your in the middle!

Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose and happy hair removing!
