Pros: Easy to use, one box does all, great TIVO alternative.
Cons: 80GB (30h) HD. Doesn't work well with Dish Network, NO High Def.
I bought this box about 3 months ago and I think it's a great product. I have it hooked up to two different Dish Network Receivers one HD, one regular and analog Cable. I record TV shows with the TV Guide, from Cable, because Dish Network requires you to leave the box on the channel you are recording. Having two receivers (or maybe a dual tuner) would solve the problem you can only record and watch one channel. It does not take HDMI or HD feeds. I only use the copying functions Firewire to DVD/HD, HD to DVD and VHS to DVD and they work great and are easy to do. Even the editing is fairly simple. I record a movie, create chapters where commercials are, then delete these chapters and burn it to DVD. Overall I think it's a great product. Beats paying 5 or 10 dollar a month for Tivo or similar DN PVR and not even have the option to store show to DVD.
