Pros: Great Camera. No problems.
Cons: 1K tone to go with the color bars.
In using my new Panasonic ag-dvc 60 camera I have yet to find any problems with it. The audio sounds acceptable off of the built in mike. For those who say it's lousy, I am not sure what they are expecting. The words are clear and understandable. Yes, if you are standing in a room with a large PA SYSTEM that is causing an echo the mic will record that. You must watch the levels in the viewfinder and adjust accordingly. If the audio meters are peaking into the red, yes, the audio will sound distorted. Panasonic provides a great volume control that allows you to easily adjust the volume. You should never feel the need to rely on agc unless you absolutely need it. It will cause pumping. Same goes for setting the camera or any camera in an auto mode. You are allowing the camera to decide what item to focus on and what light it "thinks" is proper. 99.9% of the time I run in total manual and make adjustments. It's the only way to get a good recording
