We first purchased Outburst because we love the board game and thought this would be alot of fun!
Outburst is a great pc game which can be played alone or with a group of people, as teams, the red team and the blue team.
Outburst starts out by giving you a topic and you type in the first three letters of your answer, usually a one word answer, if your answer is there, it shows up on the screen and if not, it buzzes.
Each subject or topic you get, you have 60 seconds to type in ten correct answers. After all the answers are given, either by you or by the game showing you what you missed you get a chance to get bonus points by clicking your space bar when the flashing highlight shows up on one of your answers. If you hit the spacebar and it isn't on one of your answers, it just moves on to the next topic or subject, but if it is highlighted on one of your answers, you get between 1 and 3 bonus points.
There are many different categories in the game.
They consist of Reverse Burst, which is when they give you the answers and you try to guess what they are talking about.
Sloppy seconds, the category where the other team goes first and has to answer as many questions as possible under sixty seconds and you have to try to beat their time.
Mondo Burst is the last category. In Mondo Burst they give you a topic, like for example, the fifty states and you have to name all the ones you know in a certain amount of time.
Shout Burst is another category when they give you a topic and you guess the answer by multiple choice by pressing 1, 2, 3 or 4 on your keyboard.
Outburst is a crowd pleaser at any party or family get together. Every time people come over, we always end up playing Outburst.
It is also alot of fun to play alone and it can teach you an awful lot too.
