Oster 76076-010
I love to save money as much as the next guy, but there are times when it makes sense to spend the money. The Oster 76 is definitely one of those cases.
So if you need to buzz your head several times a month, these are the clippers to buy. They take longer to pay for themselves, but are an excellent investment in the long run. Should you ever decide to become a hippie, you can unload them on eBay quickly and for a good price.
Bottom line: You WILL get your money's worth out of them.
I've been losing my hair for about 5 years. After too much Rogaine, Propecia, and other medications, I decided to say "the heck with it" and went with a buzz cut.
My fiancee gladly buzzes my head for me. She often goads me to sit down for a haircut before I need one. She loves using them and even teases our friends and her own sister to let her shave their heads.
I wish I did this years ago! It seems like the less hair I have, the more compliments I get!
In this day and age of "planned obsolescence", it's nice to find a tried and true product that will last for a long time. They are also serviceable, so no matter what happens, you've got that clipper thing taken care of. :)
They are powerful (I've seen full heads of hear clipped down to stubble in no time), sturdy, and easy to use. They don't bog down or clog, either. I love the way the blades are easy to swap. I never cared for the snap-on guides of the cheap clippers. Do note, that sometimes a blade doesn't look like it's down all the way once you put it on. Just flick the power switch, and the blade pops into place.
I've wanted a set of these for a long time and finally plunked down the money to do it. I got these from Goodmans for about $150. It was a set that included plastic combs and a variety of blades including a #000, #1, #2, and #3. Great deal.
You can also purchase additional plastic combs that lock onto the blades. Lengths go from 1/16" to 1 1/4". Virtually no risk of a comb popping off. With the wide variety of combs and blades, you can any create custom length you choose.
From an asthetic standpoint, I like them too. I always liked the Maroon color and the shape. They sound great, too! I always hated the pop that the magnetic clippers make. Makes me think something is wrong!
There are plenty of great clippers available, but you won't be disappointed with these.
The best clippers money can buy, hands down.

Pros: Powerful, easy to use, tireless, repairable, lots of accessories available.
Cons: Expensive (in the beginning) and a bit heavy after long use.
The Bottom Line:
There is a reason you see them in every barber shop and chain salon. They are the best.
