Take it around the world; water resistance best quality

Pros: Water proof, picture quality.
Cons: Too little battery life. Flash weak although what do you expect for point & shoot?
I have taken mine all over the world. Picture quality is very good (almost but not quite as good as my far more expensive Fuji S2). The waterproof feature is its greatest asset. Rain, shallow water, pools, beach, water skiing, white water rafting, sailing, hiking, any place you might not normally be able take a camera, take it; this might be the only way to easily record your trip. Flash is ok. About normal for this type of camera. Battery life just ok.
