Cons: Battery sucker& USB connector not universal if lost you must purchase one from Olympus.

I bought this camera for my business, to take pictures of my Ebay items for auction.Its a great little compact camera that has a great deal of setting choices including auction which gives you three shots quickly at different exposures to get the perfect one for auction. I also use the inside, available light, and occasionally behind glass to get that just right look for the best sell.


Although I bought it for business I have also used the movie recording part for birthdays and other events. My 15 year old son is the adventure type and living at the base of the Smokey's drags me pretty regularly to go 'bear hunting", I have learned to enjoy it although I was worried how the camera would hold up.

I was not disappointed with this camera when put to the test of nature. Turns out its a perfect pocket camera for hiking and nature pictures because its very durable and and water resistant.This camera is an 8mg pocket camera which is very durable and has withstood being dropped several times without any damage. It also slipped while taking a picture of bears in the Smokey Mountains and fell into a puddle and was fine after drying off. As to not get too close while "bear hunting" I employ the zoom which goes from 3x - 5x in seconds. It has a 2 1/2 inch LCD Screen so it is wide enough to catch great pictures without squinting.

The shooting guide allows you to adjust the image quality by reducing red eye , blur, and helps you target a moving target. It also has a close up photo that brings the area into focus which is great when I'm trying to take pictures of miniatures for sale.

The only cons I have found with this camera is that it does suck up the lithium battery very quickly and you have to use a special Olympus cable to connect to the computer instead of the normal camera type so if you loose it you have to go back to the manufacture.

Overall a great little durable camera for work or fun. I will be buying another one soon for hubby. I found several of them at HH Greg for a reasonable price.
