Pros: gets the job done most of the time
Cons: made in Japan, parts not sold separately
My cat chewed the little cord on my Olympus microcassette transcriber. And as another member mentioned you have to use their foot pedal and their headphones or you just can't play ball with this machine.
I am sure I can take it to get repaired up at the music shack, they have repaired lots of wires and things that Kitty has chewed. But fortunately for me, I don't get a lot of requests for microcassettes. This machine is not that great in my book, it doesn't have enough variable speed. Even the Volume isn't that loud. I prefer my old Sony Secutive bm-35. This machine is fine if you are a college student who has a good quality tape of a lecture or something, but for a working transcriptionist, it can be a little hard to work with. The price at two hundred dollars mystifies me, it shouldn't be that high, it's nothing more than a glorified tape player. And in some cases a cat chew.
