Olympus D-580 Terrific performance to price

Pros: Great picture quality, small enough to put in pocket, great price to quality value.
Cons: Eats regular batteries, uses xd memory cards which are slightly more expensive.
The Olympus D-580 is a great 4 megapixel camera that is small enough to fit into ones pocket. Picture quality is excellent, especially when using the highest resolution. When buying the D-580 plan on buying a battery charger and eight rechargeable batteries rated at least 2500 milliamps. The camera eats AA alkaline batteries.
I brought six cameras to Ireland with me on a recent trip and ended up using the D-580 for 90% of my shooting because of its carry convenience and picture quality. This is one of the best under $200 cameras on the market.
