Author's ReviewNothing can separate me from my sunglasses except for bedtime. I always have my sunglasses on. By looking through my photo album, someone may think they are permanently attached to my head. If they are not over my eyes, they are on the top of my head. It has been hard for me to find a goodlooking pair of sunglasses that fit comfortable, until I placed the Oakley Gascan's over my ears. WOW! Instant love.
COMFORT
My Oakley Gascan sunglasses are very light weight. They rest lightly on the bridge of my nose and in the crest of my ears. I usually have a problem with glasses squeezing the sides of my head or digging into my ears. I haven't had this problem with my Gascans. They also wrap comfortably arond the side of my eyes, to about mid-temple. The thick arms prevent sunlight from entering the sides. The lenses are dark enough for the brightest of days, but not so dark I am able to wear them until almost dusk.
STYLE
My Oakley Gascan sunglasses are white with dark tinted lenses. The lenses are about 1 1/2 inches in height, and about 2 inches wide. Surrounding the lenses is a very thin frame (less than 1/4 inch). The arms are wide at the lens and gradually narrow to a little less than 1/2 inch at the ends. The two arms fold in for easy storage and there is, of course, the big "O" on the outer side of both arms.
PRICE
I paid $98 for my Oakley Gascan sunglasses over one year ago. Oakley glasses also come with a silky bag to store them in. The bag is also nice for cleaning the glasses
QUALITY
The lenses are have a life time warranty. If they get scratched, Oakley replaces them (consumer pays for shipping). I have replaced my lenses, due to a pole sticking out of the back of a truck. The glasses probably saved my eyes. That pole scratched the lenses, but didn't break them. The frames have a warranty also, but I can't remember the details.
