2005 Nissan AltimaThis third-generation Nissan Altima was launched in 2002 as an exciting alternative to the otherwise ordinary mid-size sedan segment. And it remains the cure for the common car. Now with a new interior, the 2005 Nissan Altima has addressed our biggest complaint with this car.

V6 with power to spare

Pros: Sporty, quick, powerful and generally fun to drive.
Cons: Lack of standard ABS, side curtain airbags and traction control on the V6.
The Bottom Line:
Go for it!!, you wont regret it.
I am coming up on a year now with my 05' 3.5 SE and have very few complaints. The engine is a dream, powerful with that growl when you step on the gas. I recommend if your going to get this car to spring for the 3.5 SE or SL models (250 h.p/249 ft.lbs torque). I have had a small problem with the drivers side roof molding coming loose but that problem was quickly remedied by Nissan during a service visit. the 06' appears to be pretty much the same with no noticible changes. My one regret with this car is that the Traction Control system (on the V6 only), side curtain airbags and ABS are not standard on these cars. They are an option that when shopping you have to hope the car you find and like is equipped with. I sometimes wish the SE-R wasn't as pricey as it was as I wouldnt mind the stiffer suspension when cornering not to mention the larger wheels and little horse power boost (265 h.p). Car drives nice, seating is comfortable. Much more head room then the Honda Accord. I bought my 3.5 SE nicely equipped with the tcs/side airbag/ abs package as well as the sport package with spoiler, sunroof, lower sport molding and mud flaps.I would recommend this car
