The all-new 2000 Sentra is introduced with new styling, more room, and refined ride and handling. The Sentra is available in three models: XE, GXE, and SE. A new 126-horsepower DOHC 1.8 liter engine is introduced, and the 2.0 liter engine now has 145 horsepower. A stiffer front subframe and front and rear stabilizer bars are now standard on all models. Standard features include a rear window defroster, tilt steering column, and remote trunk release. The GXE and SE models include cruise control, power windows and door locks, and dual power mirrors. An available SE Performance Package is optional which includes features such as 16-inch aluminum wheels, 55-series tires, a limited slip differential, a rear spoiler, and a 180-watt sound system.
