Nikon N75 QD 35mm SLR

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: The Auto Feature's N75 QD is a great camera for any level of photographer.

Cons: None

The Bottom Line:
The Nikon N75 QD has been one of the best investments I've made....It takes very very good pictures...Even in Full Auto Mode..

I purchased this particular camera because my uncle suggested it. He's a part-time photographer and I wanted his opinion on what kind of camera to buy..His first question was, what will you be taking pictures of. I wanted a good camera to shoot pictures of my son playing football. I had a point & shoot but sometimes the action was too far away and I wanted it to look as if I was standing right behind the players. So I told my uncle what I was doing and needed a camera that I could put bigger lenses on it. To get closer to the action. Well he was always a BIG fan of Nikon cameras. But with the little knowledge I had of cameras, I didn't want a fully manual one. Well Nikon carries several models, and at the time the N75 QD was still pretty new. Well I got it. The only real difference between the N75 and the N75 QD is the QD stands for Quartz Date. Meaning the N75 QD can imprint the date on the pictures. ( which can be turned on & off ) The camera has lots of features and I won't bore you with all of them. But some highlights are....The exposure mode dial has 4 User-controlled modes P, S, A, M.... P is Auto Multi Program, camera controls shutter speed & aperture and you control exposure S is Shutter, you control shutter speed, camera controls aperture. A is Aperture, you control aperture and camera controls shutter. M is Manuel, you control shutter and aperture.. And the N75 QD has 6 Point & Shoot modes. Full Auto, Portrait, Landscape, Closeup, Sport, Night Portrait. The N75 QD has always provided me with awesome pictures in the Full Auto and Sport modes that I never really mess with all the manual controls. But for the professionals, they would be more that pleased. The N75 QD feels good in your hands, I can shoot all day with it if I wanted to. Not too heavy and well balanced..I Love It....
