Affordable (relatively speaking) Full Framed DSLR
Pros: Weather sealed, great high ISO performance, fast, good battery life, sharp, relatively cheap. Cons: No movies mode, no articulated LCD. Bottom Line: Best DSLR in the Free World
Pros: Build, IQ, speed, ISO range, low cost for this level, viewfinder, everything Cons: AF system will befuddle some users. CF door feels a bit weak. Bottom Line: A Great Camera for Low Light Pictures
Pros: phenomenal low light capability, will expose with manual focus lenses and has autofocus motor Cons: big and heavy and very expensive Bottom Line: Great camera!
Pros: good picture quality, suitable for the journey Cons: price drops too quickly Bottom Line: A D3 in D300 clothing. a great camera but not a great value
Pros: Great image quality. High speed, low noise. No focal-length factors. Weatherproof. Smaller than D3. Cons: Price. You could buy 2 D300s for one D700. DX lenses crop to 5.1 megapixel Bottom Line: Nikon D700 is the best fullframe DSLR, and Pro film SLR to digital transition
