Nextar P3 is a great GPS for $99.00 - super easy to use -

Pros: price, effectiveness, ease of operation (especially suctioncup mount), carry case, volume's clarity and loudness
Cons: takes apx 2 minutes to find signal - It doesn't have street-to-text - so what!
The Bottom Line:
buy one - super easy to use, you won't get lost, very easy to use windshield suction cup mounting
I bought my 1st GPS 2 weeks ago when I saw an ad for $99.00 after $50.00 mail in rebate at a local big box store. (I have used the 'company' GPS in the past, but have never personally owned one)
It worked right out of the box - when I got out of the store, I immediately opened the box, plugged in the cigarette charger, programmed my home address, and it took me right home. I made several wrong turns or ignored instructions and it quickly re-calculated a new route (it doesn't announce "Recalculating" but the screen indicates it is recalculating)
It has a speed alert, automatically figures out 'night' and changes screen brightness automatically, and is quick to recalculate when you make a wrong turn, etc.
It doesn't have street to text instructions, but I haven't found the need for that -it gives you plenty of warnings when to turn, the volume is very clear and loud (adjustable) and the screen also shows how many feet it it to turn and also a 'chime' type sound plays when you're supposed to turn.
It might take up to 2 minutes to find the GPS signal, but once it's locked on, it's there. It has a lot of POI's and is easy to use - I am delighted for the value received for $100.00 and would recommend to anybody. Since I don't go to Canada, that's a non-issue. I don't need the Mp3 player feature either, but it's there for those who want music. I havent' tested yet how long it will run on a charge so don't know the duration.
This unit has an incredibly easy-to-use windshield suction cup mount assembly (much superb to the company Garmin or my daughters Magellan) , cigarette lighter charger cord, carrying case and instruction manual already printed out. It also comes with a USB cable where you can charge it using your computer. All of this for $99.00 tax after rebate - quite a bargain
