Incredible Monitor for the money
| Author's Rating: |

Pros: EVERYTHING. AG Neovo is going to be my brand of choice for a long time.
Cons: It won't cook breakfast no matter how much I yell at it.
The Bottom Line:
I'm running this on a Media Center PC with a 256MB video card. It is absolutely perfect. Nothing in the class comes close to it in price. Must have!
The only recommendation that I have for someone looking to buy this monitor is to make sure that you get the (R12). The standard model, which I'm not sure if they still make, has a 25ms response time and the R12 has 12ms.
What's the difference between the two? I've seen movies on a screen with a 25ms response time and, while they look great, there is sometimes a little ghosting. This is the same with hi-res, high paced gaming like Half-Life 2 or Doom 3.
In contrast, my F-419 R12 has no ghosting at all in anything that I've done since it arrived at my doorstep. I've watched the Matrix, played numerous rounds of Counter-Strike: Source and Doom 3, surfed the web, and on and on.
When it comes to price, I've not found such a highly rated monitor at a more reasonable price anywhere online. I bought mine from newegg.com last week and it came to a total of $301.00 after shipping. But wait! There's more! This is before the $70 mail-in rebate! So, after the $10 off of the normal newegg.com price and a $70 mail-in rebate and minus the $13.00 shipping, this monitor only cost me $219.00. I'm going to make some of that back by selling the 21" CRT that I just lugged out to the computer graveyard (my garage storage space).
Now for the bad part....
OK, so there is no bad part, I'm in love with this monitor. There is only one thing that I would change and, maybe it's there and I just don't know it, but I would like to have the height of the base be adjustable. Not an issue in the least, I just slapped a 1/2 inch spacer on the desk and voila, perfect height.
I do have to say that I have one word of caution. This monitor had a pixel that appeared to be dead when I got it. For the first day, even considering the fact that it was way off on the lower left of the screen, I was a little disheartened that I didn't get a "perfect" monitor. However! (this is the word of caution; the other stuff was just to build it up) It was NOT a dead pixel. It was stuck, if that's the correct term, and now it is perfect.
Overall, I would say that I would have paid more for this monitor than I did in a heartbeat. It's huge, bright, clear, and I personally feel that it out performs many of the more expensive brand name competitors.
Please, if you want an LCD...BUY THIS MONITOR!!
