A Necessity If You Have An Odyssey 2-Ball Putter Knock-Off

An unprotected, loose putter in a golf bag is not a good thing. The face can become nicked or dented from the constant abrasion and knocking around by other clubs in the bag. The face is usually a precision-machined flat surface and, often, treated to enhance feel by various inserts of nylon, plastic or soft metals. It's important to protect this critical piece of equipment.

This cover is only useful if you use a putter that is shaped like the popular Odyssey 2-Ball White Hot Putter. There are many inexpensive, competitive, knock-off versions and most of them do not come with a putter cover.

I have one made by CGS (Component Golf Supplies), a mailorder company located in Spokane, Washington. It is sold as components (head, shaft, grip) that require the user to assemble. It is very inexpensive at about $40, total, including shipping. However, it does not come with a putter cover.

This neoprene cover fits it beautifully and does a great job of protecting the entire putter head. This is important since the face has a hard, white nylon insert piece to provide good feel during stroking.

This cover is extremely functional, inexpensive and looks good. It is very easy to put on or take off. It is held on using a flap with a velcro closure and can be removed with one hand and one motion. Leaving it on the putter to take to the green with you is easy to do and provides maximum protection.
