Concealer Crme - .10 oz - Creme
I was making an order off Vitacost.com, where I usually get some of my family's skincare, bath and body items and/or supplements and vitamins. I ran across the Mychelle Petroleum-Free Mineral Concealer Stick in Creme and bought it. I have to say I haven't used a concealer this nice in a long time, and I am very happy with it!
First off the "Creme" color works on my light with pinkish skin tones skin. It is not on the yellow side (in case anyone needs more of a yellow-based concealer), but light and nuetral. It would probably work for fare to lighter to light/medium-skinned people. They also offer it in the colors "Solar" and "Terra". I sort of ordered blindly, because Vitacost does not have a description of what the color is, but I assumed it was the light concealer and I was right.
This concealer delivers a nice, moisturizing covering action. I use it under my eyes, around the edges of my nose (where sometimes there is redness) and it also works over blemishes, scars, freckles and so on. The coverage is medium to heavy. It has some great staying power as well (all day)! The formula is pretty perfect, since I have tried numerous concealers. Usually I get "too yellow" of a concealer, or it's too light (translucent) and wears off (or doesn't cover good enough). Other ones are too thick and drag (they aren't moisturizing enough), while others are chalky and dry. I have also tried powdered concealers, which provide way too light coverage. This Mychelle brand is PERFECT since it provides good coverage, has staying power and is moisturizing. It does not sink into lines, either.
It gives a nice, moisturized glow to the skin and has great ingredients. It contains grapeseed oil, camellia oleifera seed oil, castor seed oil, beeswax, lauroyl lysine, silica, natural vitamin E, safflower seed oil and grapefruit seed extract, peach extract, guava extract, passionfruit extract, mica, titanium dioxide & iron oxides.
The downside is that it is TINY (at .10 ounces)! It is the same size as the Burt's Bees Lip Shines, very small and hard to find in my makeup collection. I know I will go through it fast (but not sure how long it will last, I assume 2 months max). I may have to try their foundation sticks, since the concealer is so great. So for such a tiny stick, the price is a bit high at $10.24, but worth it (this is what I paid at Vitacost.com). It has a little lid you pop or twist off and then you can twist the bottom upward (like a chap stick tube) and then apply to the areas you want to conceal. I then will dab my finger (or a makeup sponge will work) to the area to blend it in nicely. It works good on areas above the lips, and normally concealer doesn't "stick" well there. It also feels good on the skin and isn't overly greasy. It's just AMAZING and my new favorite concealer. The concealer comes packaged in box, that I just ended up recycling after I took out my concealer. I guess the smallness of it is good for traveling and carrying around in your purse (if needed). I find I do not need to touch up during the day, though.
Another downside for me is the scent. I have no idea why they added scent and I just have to hold my nose while I put it on. I am getting used to it. It's weird to put on concealer and at the same time smell grapefruit (which isn't my favorite scent in the world), which is what it smells like to me. It's highly unusual, but I can put up with it. Other people might like it, or not notice, after all it is a great product.
So besides the two small downsides to this product, this is my holy grail concealer, and I am highly pleased with it!
Wow, this is a great concealer- and without the chemicals!

Pros: The best concealer ever! No chemicals, glides on nicely.
Cons: It is small-and pricey for size.
The Bottom Line:
My makeup organizer will not be without this! It is just too wonderful of a concealer!
