Pros: Great information, inspiring
Cons: viewed as only for muscle-heads
I first picked up an issue of Muscle and Fitness last year with the notion of achieving super hero status. Every guy knows what I'm talking about. You read those comics, you see those huge muscles you think, hey, I can be like that.
I started reading it and learning about my body. I've learned so much, I've almost completely changed my lifestyle as well as my whole outlook.
Exercise is not just a way to improve your body, it's a way to improve you body, your mind and your entire life. This magazine is devoted to long-lasting healthy living. Tackling issues such as depression, positive reinforcement, staying focused on your goals, changing your body and muscle regrowth to displaying the efforts and praises of countless other people. With their inspiring articles and photographs, I've lost about 30 pounds in three months and participated in so many new activities.
Each issue includes sections devoted to recent scientific updates about products, foods and nutrition and helpful exercises. Along with that, they focus in on how to have proper form when you lift or how the pros got to be so large. These guys are incredible. I don't plan on becoming huge any day, but I do plan on continuing to exercise and pushing myself as well as picking up the latest issue of M&F. It offers a completely positive and self-improving attitude and environment I find so hard to come by these days and I can't afford to let go of the encouragement and positive reinforcement my efforts receive from reading.
