Pros: offers new and different movements, sensitivity to women's training needs and goals
Cons: Weider promotional propaganda, price
This magazine should be a just as much apart of a bodybuilder's monthly routine as his supplements and training journal review. Muscle Fitness, though published by the shameful self-aggrandizing and crass commercialist, Joe Weider offers a wealth of bodybuilding information. The diets, supplement info, and consistently innovative and challenging workouts keep bodybuilders informed and motivated. One should read this publication with a critical view and open mind due to the fact that some articles serve as vehicles for promoting Weider products.
One of the strengths of this magazine is that you can share it with your significant other since many articles are geared to women as well as men. My girlfriend especially appreciates the sensitivity and focus on women's fitness.
I would highly recommend this magazine. It is a little pricey, I'll admit. The one thing that really sets MF apart from other magazines is its coverage of new or little used exercises to train muscle groups. This magazine will definitely broaden your repetoire of exercises and keep training fun and exciting.
