The Diamante remains mostly unchanged for the 2001 model year. Revisions on all models include child seat tether anchors and a new exterior color, Martinique Green Pearl. Fog lights are now standard on the LS and the ES features new seat fabric and wheels covers. The Diamante is equipped with several standard amenities, including an alarm system with engine immobilizer, automatic air conditioning, keyless remote entry, and an AM/FM stereo with CD. In addition, the LS includes a power glass moonroof, body side moldings, aluminum alloy wheels, leather wrapped steering wheel, and leather seating surfaces. The only option available is the All Weather Package (LS only). It includes heated mirrors, heated seats, and traction control.

Bottom Line:
There are few cars that have anything on the Diamante. It's underrated and under-advertised. Mitsubishi needs to drop the Lancer and start pushing this, people deserve to know about it.
