Pros: Pro featured camera at Pro-sumer price.
Cons: Modest learning curve of the tremendous features( not bad really )
The Bottom Line:
Buy two, compare and save over the "pro level" cameras of Nikon/Canon, or try to figure out why it cost you twice as much to do the same thing.
This camera is a wonderful piece of technology, that employs so many features, in so many ways that are easily accessed, adjusted, viewed, etc, its amazing this is a 35mm camera, and not a digital camera, with its abilities. Incredibly fast AF, marvelous built in custom functions that can be tweaked and accessed with great variety.
Built in multiple exposure, up to 1/8000th flash sync with HS Maxxum flashes, Silent rewind or speed rewind, a must for Golfing or other sporting events where camera noise will get your butt tossed out. I could go on and on, this is just a superb camera, with pro level features all over the place. I am beyond just impressed with the abilities, and price, when compared to Nikon and Canons in the same price range.
Popular Photography, who reviewed this camera, found it to be among the absolute BEST out there in its class, regardless of price or competition.
The body is about a 4.5 in durability, only way to make it better, would be to add about 50% to the price of the camera, so hard to fault that. Camera "holds" so nicely in your hand(s), grip feels natural, and your fingers/thumbs rest right on or near buttons and control knobs/wheels.
