Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows 7 has finally integraded a lot of the security features of Linux such as the user level access control..and seperating the USER and the Supreme ADMIN..this cuts down on some of the damage a malicious script on the internet can do because you are signed in as a USER with Admin privilages but not as the ADMIN..The Journaling of the NTFS file system has IMPROVED very much..Windows finally has the ability to give priority to constant used registry items and compact the registry on its own..This has been the biggest issue with Windows through XP..I see another user complain about OLD software and Drivers.. ITS CALLED XP COMPATABLITY MODE..and it works wonders..I use a LOT of OLD windows XP software and Drivers for OLD PRINTERS and OLD SCANNERS and OLD TV card in my computer alone..XP compatablity was a feature of Windows 7 Ultimate and PRO ...Not in the HOME and starter editions..I love this software..Normally I hate Windows, but they finally seem to realize everyones comptuer knowlege dosent stop at POINT and CLICK..Now being able to go to CMD as an ADMIN and take ownership of a file and tell the system what " I WANT IT TO DO, REGARDLESS OF WHAT MICROSOFT THOUGHT IT SHOULD DO." is basicly solving most of my issues..The power of Linux in a MS compatable package..Now if we could just compact the kernal and speed up the boot time ...
