Why is Manischewitz Cherry wine different from all others?

Pros: Tradition makes the taste bearable. A decent ingredient for haroset.
Cons: Heavy alcohol content. Artificial flavor doesn't belong in kosher wine.
Bottom Line:
I started out thinking Manischewitz Cherry was better than it actually is. I think nostalgia for the wine may be keeping it alive.
