Author's Review
I love coffee & tea. So when I researched for the right single-serve for me, I was looking at the Bunn My Cafe Professional Grade & The Keurig B50. In the end, I ended up with both, the Bunn for home & the Keurig for work.

That also means that I have pods for my Bunn at home and K-cups at work. Between the 2 systems, I find that I like a stronger flavor, so for the Bunn, that means a small setting like 6 oz. You can dump the used pod and re-brew a second pod with the same 6 oz setting or look for the larger "Monster Pods". For the K-Cup, you just choose the smaller cup brew, and if you want more, brew a K-Cup & then brew a second K-Cup.

For those of you who like a weaker brew, 1 pod or K-Cup will suffice. I choose to do this, when I'm in a rush and just want a cup of coffee.

I also am in the habit of drinking hot water in the morning, so having the Bunn is so convenient! For those who want tea in the morning, just make sure you use the tea pod tray and set the oz desired, press a button, and watch the water heat, when the water is ready press the button and the blue light goes on, the water is dispensed, and you are ready for your morning tea. With Bunn you remove the tray, dump the pod, and rinse the tray, and replace the pod holder tray back into the machine. With the Keurig you wait a few sec (I find the K-cups to be hot) pull the handle up, remove the K-cup, and pull the handle down to close the built in tray. Coffee-wise, Bunn is much hotter than Keurig, but if you want a quick shot of java, Keurig delivers.

Filling the Bunn: This step is SIMPLE. I like to push back the top lid, pour spring water into it and close the lid. The Keurig, I use an old coffee carafe filled with the office water cooler water, remove the lid and pour the water in. I prefer Bunn's filling system more than my Keurig in this respect.

Both machines brews and noise-wise is par to a hand mixer. The Bunn makes brewing a show, the blue light beams the cup area, and you actually are entertained as water, tea, or coffee is dispensed into your mug.

Both machines are simple to use, pop a pod or K-cup in, press a button, for the Bunn, it sometimes begins to heat the water, and then once that prep work is done, you have to press the button again. Keurig let's you set the time for when it's on or off, which is great for work.

After a year, my Bunn is a little buggy, I know i have to reset it when the red Bunn light starts blinking. Both the Bunn & Keurig is still going strong.

Counter-space, be prepared to give either machines some space in your kitchen. What's the point of a single-serve if you have to lug the machine out fill it with water, a pod or K-cup, and a mug? I usually head over bleary eyed and have my mug sitting waiting for me to pop a pod in push a button, and push the button again.

What I love? No mess, Quick cup of Joe, Tea, Hot Water! Bunn's increments of oz. is perfect for me at home. Keurig's simple function as a coffee fix is perfect for me at work.

The variety you can offer your guests, co-workers, etc. decaf columbian? french vanilla, cinnammon stick? or tea. Both machines can handle the orders barista style, and you will find how simple it is to make these drinks to order. Don't throw away your coffee machine, but add a single serve for the ability to cater to your guests.

Pod vs. K-cup? I love both, I feel that there is more choices in pods, but between Timothy's, Gloria Jean, & Green Mountain, I enjoy my K-cups too! Price wise, the Keurig can't be beat, but the Bunn is perfect if you care to splurge on a machine which depending on your life-style you will find both machines indispensable as your alarm clock. I know I have! Keurig has a re-fillable K-Cup adapter so you can use your own grind, this came out after I purchased my Keurig, that will be my next purchase!

Regarding the irregular dispensing-I'll try the advice from fellow epinion reviewer: "If you want to change the size of your next cup, move the slider ALL THE WAY to either 12oz or 4oz first (whichever is further from where you want to brew) and THEN select your ounces. This will make your brews more accurate, I’ve found via testing. (Example, if it’s currently set to 8oz and you want to brew 10 oz of coffee next time, first move the slider to 4oz, then all the way over to 10 oz and you’ll find its dead on the money!)"

I don't think I could choose either machines as my favorite. I do like the setup of the Bunn at home, and Keurig at work. I find that I use both daily, and highly recommend both machines.
