Professional Reviews
Professional Reviews (02/01/1993, p.49-50, Lizzie Francke): "...Araki's movie is almost playfully picaresque....Immediate, desperate and intentionally disturbing...", (03/01/2008, p.77, Nathan Lee): "[T]he petulance feels fresher than ever...", (04/03/1992, p.C1, Janet Maslin): "...Dark humor doesn't get much darker than THE LIVING END....It has the power of honesty and originality, as well as the weight of legitimate frustration. The End of Living - No - The Living End

Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: Real violent, sexual, foul movie.

Cons: More real than those movies who want to be that, but live by the_MPAA!

Bottom Line:
At times life is bleak and depressing. Why not show that in a movie? Read More at Epinions.com

Indie film at its best, a buddy/road flick, oh, with AIDS

Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: Storyline, pacing is fantastic, the acting is rough but generally good

Cons: Not a con for me, but it is gay for gay so be warned.

Bottom Line:
It was called the gay Thelma and Louise.  It is similar in points and if you like indie and TnL, this should entertain. Read More at Epinions.com

Araki's LIVING END

Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: Great story, settings, acting is good

Cons: Araki's typically disturbing story elements

Bottom Line:
Gregg Araki's first film is a powerful social commentary, and a good look at society in general in the mid 1990's. Worth a look. Read More at Epinions.com
