Cons: This drive has no disc burning ability. It is a read only device.

Pros: Plays Blu-ray movie disks and it comes with PowerDVD8 which allows you to play Blu-ray.
Cons: It does not write to disks, neither Blu-ray nor DVD nor CD.
Bottom Line:
It works great as a blu-ray movie player with the software it includes.
