WAP54G Standard Linksys Quality

Pros: 1) SNMP Support 2) Multiple mode configurations 3) Simple web interface
Cons: 1) Limited SNMP support 2) Range is somewhat limited
The Bottom Line:
Great function for price with nicer features than other brands.
I have used Linksys products, including NIC cards, routers, modems and other devices from linksys for well over 7 years. My network is currently supported by all Linksys equipment which support a wide range of features for the setup I have. The WAP54G is no different. I am writing this from my laptop with a WPC11 card connected to my WAP54G and listening to an internet radio station.
Stability of this device has been very reasonable, especially for the price. The web configuration interface is done very nicely laid out and is operating system independent (I run only Linux on my network). It has some limited SNMP features that allow for simple statistic pulling. Unfortunately you cannot set any configurations through SNMP and the MIB descriptions are hard to find (do an snmpwalk to see what is supported).
This device supports other modes such as a repeater mode, bridge mode, and client mode. If you need a signal booster between floors for a current Linksys WAP this is a nice possibility. If you need connect various workstation but don't want the hassle of buying a new wireless NIC, this is a cheap and simple alternative. Once I complete writing this review, I will be purchasing two more to place in the new house that we just purchased.
The only faults for this device is that its range is not exceptionally large, though a lot of that has to do with location of the WAP as well as the environment such as interference. Also, configuration capability with SNMP would be nice.
