For 1998, the GS sedan is available in two trims: GS 300 and GS 400. The GS 400 comes equipped with a 4.0 liter, 32 valve, V8 and the GS 300 comes equipped with a 3.0 liter V6. The GS 300 sprints to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds while the GS 400 accelerates from 0 to 60 in less than 6 seconds with its V8. The GS 400 features a special enhancement, the E-shift fingertip control for upshifts and downshifts on the steering wheel. Standard features include a climate control system, a theft deterrent system and walnut trim. Optional features include an In-Dash 6 CD Auto Changer, TRAC and heated front seats. Retained accessory power allows the driver to roll-up the windows or close the sunroof after the engine has been turned off.
