Pros: Great Coffee, Long Life, Looks Great
Cons: Touch-pad may go bad if you have heavy-fingered people using it.
I received this coffee maker in 1991 (14 yrs ago) as a gift and have used it daily over that period of time. I make at least 2 pots per day. I used the Espresso Machine several times over the 1st two years but really haven't used it since. I prefer plain old coffee and this machine makes it well.
The only negative that comes to mind is that the buttons on the touch-pad went bad after about 4 years. I think that a few friends pressed too hard. I sent the unit back to Krups and they replaced the pad and returned the coffee-maker within 10 days at no cost.
The coffee maker still makes good coffee but I can hear it struggling so I need to replace it soon. I'm looking for something comparable without the Espresso Machine but the reviews that I have seen don't compare to the history of this model. I just might spend the extra money and just get this again.
This will be the last coffee-maker you will have to buy for 10+ years so the extra money is worth it.
